The Big Tree is one of the busiest pubs outside of the city centre, mainly attracting the younger lively crowd at night time with regular live entertainment, with a large bar this Greene King pub attracts a more mixed age clientele during the day.

Showing the majority of all live TV sports events including pay per view on a big screen and showing Horse Racing all day.

With two pool tables, 3 fruit machines and quiz machines, there is always plenty to do. With a large beer garden at the front a real sun trap in nice weather to watch the world go by. There are also many regular live entetainment events during the evening.

Wednesday is Quiz night with cash prizes from £20 upwards also wine and beer
Thursday is Curry night with a curry and a drink for £4.95
Friday night is Disco night from 8 O'clock
Saturday night varies from Karaoke to R & B to 70's 80's Disco

In addition to entertainment The Big Tree has a Happy hour Monday to Friday 4 til 7 with Carling and John Smiths at just £1.50 per pint.
