Description Please if you visit this venue tell them you found it on South Yorkshire Entertainment.com The British Oak Situated 5 miles outside Sheffield in the village of Mosborough you will find a very warm welcome from Lisa & Justin at The British Oak, a large open plan pub with old oak beams and warm friendly atmosphere.  The hosts maybe a familiar sight if you have  dined at The Black-A-Moor at Troway on the edge of Dronfield, as the British Oak is their most recent acquisition, and therefore clients can expect excellent service and value for money.     As you enter the Pub there is a wonderful games area with Pool and Darts, and most unusually, an Air Hockey table at no charge proving to be popular with the locals. Fruit and Quiz machines are located around the bar area. Wednesday night is Music Quiz night, and Play Your Cards Right, hosted by Atomix Karaoke Co, together with a bit of Karaoke thrown in for good measure if the mood is right.   Thursday is Buskers night where you can take along your instruments or backing tracks and get up and entertain, or just go along to be entertained. Friday and Saturday night is home to either a Karaoke and Disco or a live artiste, supplied by Black Entertainments (tel: 07983 608879)- check out the events page for weekly details. Whatever the occasion, you can be guaranteed a fun and lively night at the British Oak. Dining is a must at The British Oak Steak House, with emphasis on speciality steak dishes at reasonable prices.  Food is served between midday and 2pm and 5pm to 9pm from Tuesday to Friday.  All day service on Saturdays between Midday and 9pm and a Sunday Carvery is available from Midday until 6pm at £5.95.
