One of the best known hotels in Sheffield is now under private ownership, and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment to the hotel, restaurant, bars, conferencing and banqueting facilities.

Head Chef, Christian Kent, renowned for his former Sheffield restaurant, The Blue Rooms Brasserie, offers affordable contemporary dining in a relaxed and ambiante atmosphere.

The Wine bar offers a tasteful mix of music and dining throughout the week, starting on Wednesday nights from 14th September, enjoy 'posh pie & peas' followed by music from some of Sheffield's finest musicians/vocalists.

Wednesday 14th sees Master of New Orleans Rythm & Blues on keys, Dale Storr, accompanied by Kim Mayhew on Sax.

Wednesday 21st, international Sax Player Simon Peat, accompanied by Joel White on keys and vocals (son of the legendary Frank White & cousin of Richard Hawley), play sensational compositions by the greats including Ray Charles, The Beatles, Georgie Fame, Van Morrison to name a few.

Wednesday 28th, a special performance from Charlie Barker.  This enormously talented 24 year old has made her TV debut on BBC1's 'The Next Big Thing', as well as being a BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards semi finalist.  She has also released her first album 'Sleeping at the Station' and is about to launch album No. 2 Ghosts & Heroes in early 2011.

Charlie plays festivals and venues throughout the UK and has had the opportunity to support some of the biggest names on the acoustic scene.

Thursday night is Steak Night with a choice of Steak, Guinness & Mushroom Pie, Sirloin Steak with Peppercorn Sauce, or simply a Steak Sandwich.

Friday night throughout August and September is Fish & Fizz night with a choice of starters, mains & deserts, accompanied by a glass of fizz on arrival for £14.95.

From 8pm every Friday is GIMME THE NIGHT - with sounds of the days of Josephines, Fannies & Isabella's - the great 80s sounds played by the original DJs of the time.

Saturday nights are 3D Nights - Dining, Drinking & Dancing the Night Away to the sounds of the 80s.  5-10-5 Menu, Beers, Wines & Cocktails from 8 til late.

Food is served in the restaurant from Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm onwards, with traditional Sunday roast between 12pm and 4pm.

The wine bar is open daily from 11 am and serves food between 12pm and 8pm.
