Elaine is reminiscent of the late great Marti Caine with a touch of Su Pollard. Although a slim attractive blonde, she delights in taking a rise out of herself as well as her audiences. Her northern earthiness never quite slips into blue humour which allows her to work a wide variety of audiences. Her observations on life's husbands, kids etc strike a chord with audiences throughout the north and midlands. Add to this the fact that she has a tremendous singing talent for both straight songs and comedy parodies of Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey and a wealth of comic singing personas all done in costume. She is a one woman show that ticks all the boxes.
