Floodstock- Flood Victims Charity Gig with Milburn

Posted on Wednesday, 25 July 2007 09:29AM by
Sheffields Premier Live Music Venue is hosting a very special Charity Gig for the flood victims, featuring Milburn. All Profits will go to the Flood Funds.

Heavy rain struck the region on June 25 causing chaos across Sheffield. Homes were ruined and people lost valuables, with the total cost of damage estimated at over £1 billion. But it’s time to get our Yorkshire chins up and look to the future!

There is hope for all those that have suffered from the bad weather, as the people of Sheffield aim to bring things back to normality as best they can. And what better way to raise money, and most importantly raise morale through the form of live music?

The Leadmill are pleased to be holding a weekend event called ‘Floodstock’ on August 11th and 12th with every penny made from tickets contributed to the South Yorkshire flood fund. The bands are playing for free, the leaflets are being produced for nothing and ticket outlets are giving up their booking fee costs for the cause. It is one big effort from everyone concerned in what promises to be an exciting, entertaining and really fun couple of days. Get involved people!

Many thanks go to Exposed, Jacks records, Ticketweb, Xray design, Seville design and print, South Yorkshire media and all the bands for helping out with this event.
