Grey Cooper Blues Experience
In 2004, blues singer, songwriter and guitarist Grey Cooper moved to Sheffield. In classic bluesman style, he freewheeled into the steel city with no contacts, but carrying his guitar, £120 in cash, a bag of blues and a suitcase full of dreams. Then he set about re-launching himself and hot wiring into the Sheffield music scene. In 2008, Grey Cooper Blues Experience is the result.
This band have earned their reputation as the most innovative Blues band on the circuit. The musicianship, well crafted songs and exciting stage show has built a loyal following among live music fans of all persuasions. Grey's blues and showmanship on guitar and vocals is nicely counterpointed by a kicking band that features Stevie Crewe on drums, Mark Laksevic on bass, Dave 'Dr Sax' Roberts on tenor sax and Sheffield jazz legend 'Uncle' Ralph Salt.
