| The English and National Champion Band of Great Britain is to stage a concert in aid of Yorkshire's flood victims in September. The double winning English and National Champions Grimethorpe Colliery Band are to perform a Charity Concert to help the Yorkshire Flood Victims at the Octagon Theatre Sheffield on Thursday the 6th September 2007. The concert will commence at 7.30pm and the cost of the tickets will £10 each.

Terry Webster, Grimethorpe's Band Manager informed 4BR that the Band offered their services on local Radio to any organisation which could provide a suitable sized auditorium.
David Hughes the Octagon Manager contacted the Band and this is the earliest suitable date. It is hoped that we can raise over £10,000 on the night to assist the Yorkshire Flood victims. We are hoping that a local Radio or Television celebrity will compere the Concert.
