Description
When you visit this venue please tell them you found them on South Yorkshire Entertainment .com
Derbyshire based Thornbridge Brewery is certainly putting its stamp on the Dronfield map. Its latest acquisition, The Inn at Troway on Snowdon Lane is no exception; a rare and vintage blend of top quality real ales, fine wines and dining, whilst at the same time maintaining the true meaning of the traditional public house, where you can call for a quick pint with the family (including the dog), or find solace in one of the nooks with a newspaper on a comfortable sofa with a bite to eat on your knee.
At the head of the kitchen is locally acclaimed Chef, Nick Wilkes who is no stranger to Dronfield. His reputation for creating excellent cuisine over many years is well known with former diners at The Manor Hotel in Dronfield. After the closure of the Manor, he was swiftly picked up by Simon Webster and Richard Smith, to join the
team at the Cricket Inn at Totley, before landing his position as Head Chef at the Inn at Troway.
Absolutely all of the food is sourced locally from around the area: the ales are second to none from the Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell, the pork from a local pig farmer in Norton and other meats reared locally around Derbyshire. The vegetables are being grown locally too, including fresh produce from the gardens of Thornbridge Hall, where there is a thriving cottage industry providing produce to The Inn at Troway and The Cricket Inn in nearby Totley.
