If you're looking for a good pub, where sports and entertainment is key, then a visit to The Old Blue Ball is a must.

Set in the heart of Hillsborough, the pub has a traditional tap room bar, and a huge lounge/sports bar with a good mix of pool tables (2), darts board, stage area and comfy sofas.

Unsurprisingly, the pub attracts a loyal crowd of Wednesday supporters on match days, and runs a number of coaches to away matches.

Avid sports fans can be sure of a first class view of their favourite live football games, with a cracking choice of 9 flat screen tvs dotted around, as well as mini tvs situated around the bar.

The pub is home to its own football team, darts team and two pool teams with one currently at the top of the league! - Free pool is available every Tuesday and Thursday, with a regular pool tournament playing Sundays from 6 o'clock.  Coming soon!! a ladies pool league - anyone interested contact Wiggie or Ange.

Weekends are lively with a disco playing regular Friday nights and a quality live band every other Saturday.  Keep an eye on the gig guide for details of who's on when.  Generally speaking, the band will play on the same night as home matches.

The Old Blue Ball in the past has not been without its clientele problems.  However Ange & Wiggie have turned the pub around and is an excellent venue for sports and entertainment.  There is a strict dress code in place: no baseball caps, tracksuits and trainers allowed after 5pm at weekends, sensible closing times, and a mutual respect for customers and staff applies.
