Reasons to be Cheerful play the best Punk and New Wave music from 1977 to 1982.

If you like The Clash, The Jam, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, The Sex Pistols, Blondie and Elvis Costello - then you'll love this tribute band.

Dangerous Dave is the band leader, singer, provocateur, performer, and the guy who had the idea to get a band together to play all these tunes that he loves. He sometimes pretends to play guitar too.

Mark E. Schmidt, aka The Prof, takes charge of the guitar and keyboard duties. Well known for destroying guitars and amps - by the end of the set he's on his third back up guitar playing through a borrowed amp.

Jimmy, aka The Owl, is the most recent addition to the band, which is why he has to get the beers in and move all the kit. He's a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist, which is why we stick him on the bass.

Mr Thunder Sticks, aka big Dan, aka The Baby Elephant, anchors the whole show from the back. In the course of a show he'll be funky, brutal, and just plain sweaty. He's reknowned for his professionalism in the sound check (what's that Dan? BIG DOGS BOLLO ...)
