The band went their separate ways in the early 80's. In 2006 guitarist Ian Palfreyman contacted front man Dave Stone with a view to resurrecting the band. Rio 5 is now born again with a new line up but with the same magic formula. Playing popular music from the 50's right through to the present day, songs from artists such as The Bee Gees, Free, Wilson Pickett, The Jam, Joe Cocker and many more.
