Rio 5 were formed in 1979 and had a successful playing career around the pubs and clubs of the east midlands. The band went their seperate ways in the early 80's. In 2006 guitarist Ian Palfreyman contacted front man Dave Stone with a view to resurrecting the band. Rio 5 is now born again with a new line up but with the same magic formula.

Playing popular music from the 50's right through to the present day, songs from artists such as The Bee Gees, Free, Wilson Pickett, The Jam, Joe Cocker and many more.
