Trippets Wine Bar lies a short distance from Sheffield's Cathedral and just off West Street. This lovely old building on Trippet Lane used to be The Old Red Lion and is mentioned in reference to the Sheffield Flood...

"Lost in Sheffield Flood Friday March 11th 1864 from Hillfoot Bridge a man about 33 years old, bald and thin, 5ft 5in and scar on right thigh caused by an abscess - information greatfully received - Charles Picketing, Red Lion Inn, Trippet Lane, Sheffield...."

Today, it is a fashionable and popular bar venue with a large range of hand pulled Ales, Draught Lagers, Ciders and Guinness together with a superb Wine & Champagne list either by the glass or bottle.

Lunch is served daily Monday to Friday 12.00 til 2.30. Live bands perform at the weekends.

Large screen T.V.s show the latest breaking news. Available for functions - city centre weddings and corporate events for the many local firms and businesses in the area - open till late.
