Unbroken is a 5 piece rock covers band from Chesterfield playing great tracks from the likes of AC/DC, Van Halen, Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Judas Priest... plus many more!

Nick - Vocals

After a near fatal head injury in 2004 I was told my singing days were over, but after 6 years I have picked the mic back up. I am a lover of all kinds of music including Country and Blues but my love has always been Rock. My favorite bands are Stone Sour, Slipknot, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica.

Mark - Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals

Mark started out on keyboards aged 11 and studied music theory and practice. Was drawn to guitar a couple of years later after hearing Iron Maiden’s first album and thinking ‘what the hell’s THIS?!!’ In ’85, was asked to join local band Passing Strangers on keyboards. It was the first taste of working with a live band. Fizzled out about 3 years later so returned to back room playing. A phone call from a keyboard-playing friend in ’92 set Mark off playing live again in a keyboard/guitar duo, Rolled Gold. First time on guitar only duties. Again, fizzled out towards the end of the nineties. Meanwhile, kept in touch with the local scene by going to jam nights, meeting other musicians and playing with local bands, in particular The Idle Hands (Mark’s mentors!!). Residing himself to the fact that it would be back room playing forever, in early ’05, Mark auditioned and got the gig with local band Traitors Gate. This would be the first time that guitar AND keyboards had come together in a live situation. Left the band in early ’07 but rejoined for a brief period towards the end of ’09. Formed Unbroken early 2010

Very early influences:- Jean Michel Jarre and Michael Schenker, Status Quo, The Friday Rock Show.

Other influences:- Too many to mention!! Easily guessed anyway.

Favourite band:- Iron Maiden. Megadeth come close. Yes is another one.

Favourite album:- They’re all favourites!! Although, as albums go, ‘The Musical Version of War of the Worlds’.

Rich - Guitars

Didn't start playing guitar seriously until aged 18, so a relatively late starter I suppose. I actually played a VERY small amount of keyboards at first until I heard Joe Satriani's ''Surfing with the alien'' album and thought ''I WANNA PLAY LIKE THIS!!!''. I was pretty much a bedroom player until I got the chance of an audition with local band EVOLUTION in 2008. This was the first time I'd played in front of anyone else, so a nerve racking time for me. This project fazed out after a while and I was back to bedroom playing again until I got the call to join UNBROKEN.....!!!! My favourite band of all time is QUEEN, followed closely by KISS and JUDAS PRIEST! Any kind of rock/metal band gets my vote really. I'm also into the blues, Gary Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughan are my faves. My main guitar influences are BRIAN MAY, JOE SATRIANI PAUL GILBERT and STEVE VAI.

Spook - Bass, Vocals

Music has always been my greatest passion, from as far back as I can remember. Started out playing aged 12, played my first gig at 14, and from there it was downhill all the way! For 10 years I played guitar, but I was never happy playing it. A friend in another band needed someone to fill in on bass for a gig and I thought I'd give it a whirl, Soon the lure of the bass became too great to resist, and having switched, realised it was the instrument I'd been looking for. Over the years, I've worked as a professional musician, sound engineer, road crew, guitar technician, and played in a number of bands, ranging from Folk and Country to Heavy Metal. A few years were in a local band, "Evolution", but for me that dead horse was well and truly flogged, and I decided it was time to move on. Influence wise, there are too many to mention - anything that I hear and like, from Classical, Country, Folk, Blues, to the heaviest of Metal - It's all good, except dance stuff - (How anyone can call talking over a repetetive drum beat and sequence loop music defeats me) - Pop and modern so called R'nb'B - (I'm NOT impressed by vocalists who will sing a scale instead of a note - less IS more!!).
