The Unvangs are a three piece band from Sheffield doing a mix of eclectic covers and original songs.

With a female on lead vocals, supported by bass guitar and lead guitar, this trio give the impression of a full 5-piece band by using bespoke backing compositions of drums and keyboard.

Band Member Profiles:

Julie:
•Lead vocals and looking moody.
•Nicknamed 'greenfingers'. Some people think it's because she's won the Sheffield In Bloom garden competition 4 years in a row. It isn't.
•Streaked at an England Cricket test match.
•Musical inspiration came from the '80s band Marillion who she claims are the band Genesis could've been.
•Julie released a pan pipes version of Marillion's hit single Kayleigh which got to number 39 in the UK singles chart in 1991, critics claim it only made the Top 40 after Julie's infamous streak at an England Cricket test match gave it extra publicity.
•Once fell into the sea whilst drunk and claimed to have been rescued by Captain Birdseye....a claim her friends dispute.
•She has a suit fetish and is banned from every shop on Savile Row after a series of incidents involving mannequins.
•Her doctor coined the phrase 'Suitaphile'.
•Is a member of 'The Mile High Club' after seducing an Armani executive midflight.
•She's a vegetarian....apart from cows.
•Turned down the chance to be the star of the Halifax adverts after a cheque took over a week to clear, paving the way for Howard Brown's superstardom.
•Got thrown out of a live recording of Strictly Come Dancing for shouting, "I could do better than that with my eyes closed" and other derogatory comments whilst swigging from a hip flask.

Martin:
•Bass guitar and looking cool.
•Once patted a small dog on the head and has the teeth marks to prove it.
•First took to bass guitar because a friend said it sounded 'chunky'.
•Practiced in front of a mirror, but as he didn't have a tennis racket had to use a teaspoon.
•Once patted a small child on the head and has the teeth marks to prove it.
•Wears trousers through force of habit.
•First gig in a school. Played songs by Bay City Rollers and Jethro Tull to satisfy a wide audience. In fact so wide, it cleared the dance floor.
•Once potted a small plant in his head and has no teeth to prove it.
•Played in a charity cricket match at a streakers convention.
•Is fearful of small dogs, children, potted plants and teeth.
•He is planning a triple concept album called 'The Dripping Tap', the instruments being every type of coin in the world being dropped into Tizer.

Paul:
•Previous bands include 'The Vags' which consisted of a motley crew of tramps whose shared passion for street drinking and swearing at innocent members of the public first brought them together.
•Once got asked to audition for a local pantomime after the director's wife heard him singing the Coco Pops advert in a local park.
•Fact: No one knows his actual age. When asked his age, he always responds in the same way - by saying "You're only as young as the woman you feel" and grabbing the buttocks of the nearest teenage girl and leering menacingly.
•Sleeps with his guitar.
•Spent time as a roadie for the band ELO in the '70s during which time he experimented with hallucinogens and other dissociative narcotics, often assuming the pseudonym of 'Barry The Bullfrog' and hopping around ribbiting for days on end.
•Was sectioned under the mental health act in '86 after an incident involving a llama at a petting zoo.
•Won the pools in '92 but invested the winnings badly, financing a fitness video starring Luciano Pavarotti.
•Came third in a Mr Moustache UK competition, finishing behind Nick Cave and Adam Woodyatt who plays Ian Beale in Eastenders.
•Wrote the theme tune to Murder She Wrote and lives off the royaltys. But secretly hates the show and wishes Jessica Fletcher dead.
•Was once an extra in Eldorado.

The band's website contains photos, live videos and live recordings.
