Description If you see or contact this artist please tell them you've seen them on South Yorkshire Entertainment .com Van Hooligan, Yorkshires Best Rock Band (apparently) Van Hooligan Band History Van Hooligan are a Rock covers band from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, they play covers by Van Halen, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Sabbath,motley crue,scorpians & more WARNING:- This Band is Very, Very loud! Formed 9 years ago VH started life under the name of Havoc consisting of Kev, Tony and Malc and Steve(sacked) For 6 months they played the same pub over and over again until 1 day there then soundman came to rehearsals saying he'd found us a new guitarist - step forward Carl Morley!!!!(ex fair Warning,USA,Baldilocks too name but a few) By the second rehearsal they had changed the name to Van Hooligan and got 4 different gigs in - world domination!!!!! Over the years our main goal has never really changed, LAGER, LAGER, LAGER, though for a brief period Kev and Carl did experiment with Cider, not lasting long however as toilet duties the following morning were never pleasant!! Towards the middle of 2002 and at the tender age of 54 (yes 54!) Malc Bryan decided he'd had enough of the constant gigging and opted to retire to his allotment(sorry porn shed!), so in stepped Graf Zeppelin frontman Richard Oxby to perform vocal duties. Believe me this man IS the king of kebabs!! but all joking aside,Big Rich got us into plenty of new venues many of which were booked in for 2004 and during the year and a half he spent with us, a right good laugh was had by all. So back to the present day and out went Rich and back in came Malc. Coming out of retirement (or as we are led to believe the shortage of his porn collection) Malc has again added that kick ass element to the overall VH sound, and as a result of the feedback we are getting from the first few gigs since he's rejoined it's not just us that have welcomed him back with open arms and pints of John Smiths (he is 60 after all and can't manage lager!!!!) The present day now sees Malc doin the odd gig and vocal duties are now performed by Pete Eccles(ex Viper,Phoenix) Dave Burgess now fills Kevs drum stool.
