Formed in Sheffield in 2004 WHITEWASH were made to poke fun at the music they love.

From the start the plan was to see how good a totally unoriginal band could get. They decided to never write a song, to never have over long solos, to never take themselves seriously and to have at least as good time as any member of the audience.

Classic songs from every genre have been boiled down into 3 minute masterpieces. The Human League, The Supremes, The Eagles, George Michael and Dexy's Midnight Runners are just a few of the bands that have had their best moments reworked.

Band MembersALAN

Lead drums
Alan has been a fixture in nearly every decent rock band that has graced Yorkshire. He is one of, if not the, best drummers you will hear. His interests include gardening and he wants to work with animals.

JOFF
Joff plays bass and sings. He's the one that sounds like 'Lard' and has a mohecian. He plays a Rickenbacker bass and is midway through building his second custom motorbike. His interests include dungeons and dragons and if he wasn't a bass player he'd like to be a corner flag.

THOM
Thom plays the guitar and sings. He's the one singing the girls parts in "Don't You Want Me?". He plays a white Les Paul and has the best amp in the history of rock. His interests include cross stitch and when he grows up he want's to be a vicar.
InfluencesThis could get a bit muddy...... The three members obviuosly have things they like in common, but on the whole they have WILDLY different music tastes.

Unfortunately the question answered by Alan and Joff have not arrived yet...

But Thom's influences are "The Who, all of them! I want to play the guitar the way Keith Moon played the drums!" Also a huge fan of the Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Carter USM, PWEI and the Sisters Of Mercy... In a not so musical way Hunter Thompson, Bill Hicks and Emily Booth are 'special' to me!

The other two will be posted as soon as they reply......
Sounds LikeHmmmmm......

Well, how would a three piece sound if they were doing a cover of "Easy Like A Sunday Morning" to the tune of "Pretty Vacant"?
